My Story

Hey there, thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

I am so excited to be trekking approx 86km in September for the amazing charity Coppafeel, with Giovanna Fletcher, Emma Willis and lots of other amazing humans, in the stunningly beautiful, but mountainous Scottish Highlands!!!!!

This will be a massive challenge for me, as I'm unfit, full of cake and have a nerve condition, but I am throwing myself into the training full throttle! I really want to prove it to myself, and I want to show my daughters the beauty of seeking discomfort and pushing yourself to do something out of your comfort zone! - remind me I said that mid-trek!

Cancer has touched my life as it sadly touched many lives, brave friends and family fought and won, and still fighting. Lost my beautiful Nan to it.

As a family we have journeyed Cancer and chemo with my husband (balls not boobs!), we are out the other side and I am very grateful to still have my Co-captain of our family team.

Working for a charity, I know first-hand how charities have struggled through the pandemic, so its so important to push that extra mile to help them continue to do their important work.

Coppafeel is such an amazing charity whose mission is to stamp out the late diagnosis of Breast Cancer, and educate young people in knowing what’s their normal for their bodies. They launched the #RETHINKCANCER Campaign which was born from the idea that young people should have the right to be educated about all types of cancer in schools, not just breast cancer. Having 2 daughters, I want them to be educated in knowing their bodies and not be ashamed of talking all things Boobs - In the short time I have known about this challenge the usage of the word boobs has increased by 400%!!

Your donations will not only support the trekkers, but also our work at the charity, CoppaFeel!, who are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs and know their bodies to be able to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
