About

When Kate and Gemma applied to the CoppaFeel! Charity Challenge they didn't dream that they would both be selected out of 750 applications!  It was clearly meant to be.

Kate and Gemma both know just how important it is to catch breast cancer early after Kate discovered a small dimple on the side of her breast aged 39. After initially being told by the GP that all breasts "have different lumps and bumps" Kate just didn't feel happy and, thankfully, went for a second opinion. Within 2 weeks, breast cancer had been confirmed.

Now Kate is determined to help others to be confident in knowing their normal, and advocating for their own bodies (and minds) and, just as it's always been, Gemma is right by her side because, as the Eurythmics would say.... "Sisters, are doing it for themselves!"

The trek it's self will be 6 nights of camping and 5 nights of trekking the West Highlands Way in Scottland. We will be aiming for around 20km per day and totalling half the ascent of Mount Everest.

Your donations will support the work at the charity, CoppaFeel!, who are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs and know their bodies to be able to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
